PAUSE:
A Caregiver Retreat
In-Person and Online
Saturday, June 22nd 2024 starting at 10 am.
This hybrid retreat offers caregivers a restorative day of mindfulness, self-compassion, and connection with nature. Join us at the beautiful Sarana Springs or virtually from your home.
We call this day-long retreat ‘PAUSE’ because we all need a break from the relentless pace of our lives. At our 171-acre nature refuge, you'll be immersed in meadows, forests, ponds and springs that nurture the practices of stillness, presence and renewal. Faculty from our Mindfulness + Compassion Training Program will help us explore stillness, mindfulness, and compassion practices.
PAUSE is the invitation:
Pay Attention, Using Sensory Experiences. Mindfulness builds our capacity to pause, slow down, and awaken to the present moment through the senses. Compassion practices guide how we relate to our inner experiences with tenderness.
This day-long program offers a spacious container to let go of doing and simply be.
While this retreat is designed for anyone in a personal or professional caregiving role, including healthcare, all are welcome that are seeking a day of mindful restoration. We all are, have been, or will be caregivers in our lifetimes.
What to Expect:
Guided sitting and walking meditation
Reflective practices and sharing circles
Gentle nature immersion
Trauma-sensitive approach
Teachings from Buddhist roots, psychotherapy, mindfulness, neuroscience
All meditation and mindfulness levels are welcome. Please contact us regarding mobility needs or medical considerations.
